With an initial focus on research into key brain disorders, the Ontario Brain Institute (OBI) is poised for impact by catalyzing research teams that will advance the drugs, devices and discoveries required to enable better care. As focus shifts to studies of the normal developing brain, better care will increasingly mean improved prevention and early intervention. Ultimately, the OBI envisions a research program that investigates not just how to prevent or treat disorders of the brain, but how to train and condition brains to realize maximum health potential.
